About the turrets, Fujimi is releasing highly detailed 1/200 Yamato turrets. They are a bit pricey, though.

Couple more pictures of my slow progress on this monster. I've received the brand new type 89 12.7 covered guns from L'Arsenal the other day and they look fantastic. I've gotten word from them that they plan to do the uncovered version of these guns in the next 4-5 months. Fortunately, I've designed the superstructure to be easily removed to take off the old ones and replace with new when they are available.
